Cactus Creek Foundation empowers individuals, strengthens institutions, and equips policymakers and leaders with the knowledge, skills, and partnerships needed to drive inclusive innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
“We believe the communities that host us deserve to grow alongside us. That is the simple idea the Cactus Creek Foundation was built on.”
Cactus Creek Foundation is a social impact organisation designed to bridge Ghana’s digital divide — using digital technologies to build capacity for digitally marginalised stakeholders and create opportunities for underserved groups.
Since 2021, in partnership with USA for Africa, we have provided free digital skills training to young people from marginalised communities, with a strong focus on empowering women and girls. These collaborations have supported youth employment pathways and trained young women — and men — to deliver services in Ghana’s growing tourism and hospitality industry.
A major milestone came with the 2025 Job Readiness Bootcamp, developed with USA for Africa, which prepared youth for careers in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) — underscoring our commitment to aligning youth potential with emerging opportunities in the digital space.
Through careful analysis and stakeholder engagement, we identified a critical gap: women remain underrepresented in ICT leadership, particularly in technical and regulatory domains. In response, we launched Women for Women in Tech (W4WIT) in 2025, convening over 15 women CEOs and Heads of Tech Companies to strengthen women’s technical skills, policy literacy, and regulatory engagement.
Most recently, our expansion into AI skills development reflects both the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and the urgent need to ensure women — especially those in decision-making positions — are not left behind as new technologies reshape workplaces, industries, and economies.
To build an inclusive digital future where women and youth in Ghana not only access opportunities but lead with confidence, shape policy, and drive innovation in technology-driven economies.
Cactus Creek Foundation is committed to:
Digital and design training for youth entering Ghana’s hospitality and tech sectors.
Seed capital, mentorship, and leadership programmes targeting women entrepreneurs.
Ecommerce platforms and digital tools opening international markets for local artisans.
Strengthening the local economy through employment and enterprise.
“We believe every community deserves the tools, the mentorship, and the belief needed to shape its own future. That is the promise the Cactus Creek Foundation was built on — and the promise we keep every day.”
With USA for Africa and CSquared, we brought together women professionals from across Ghana’s communications sector for a full day of AI literacy, hands-on practice, and honest conversation on ethics and opportunity. Read the full recap or join the WhatsApp group to stay connected for what’s next.
